Welcome.

The header doesn't lie: This site belongs to Courtney Gabrielson — me, hello! — and this is my
writing portfolio. While I’ve been a life-long storyteller (with a profound love of literature and words), this collection contains all the accessible, attributed writing pieces I've published professionally since becoming a full-time writer, editor, and journalist in 2015. I've written across many different formats, using many different styles, and for many different objectives, but each of my stories is united by my desire to communicate with beauty, heart, and an Oxford comma.

Where I've written

Here's a quick overview of my professional writing experience:

  • 2015-2017: Staff writer,
International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP)
  • 2017-2020: New market editor, American Inno
  • 2020-present: Assistant vice president/communications
manager for Employee Initiatives, Bank of America
  • The future: I'm looking for an experience that combines the authority, ownership, and creativity (I love wearing lots
of hats) of my work at the IAPP and American Inno, with the structure, resources, and reach of the bank.

Keep in mind

I'm currently a communications manager at Bank of America, where I write and oversea a host of employee initiatives communications (think everything from emotional wellness articles to emails campaigns, letters, and guides for Annual Benefits Enrollment). However, I'm prohibited from sharing internal communications externally. To get an idea of the style I have come to master at the bank , as well as stories and resources very similar to the kind of pieces I work on every day, visit the Bank of America website.
